I can't believe it was already time for Carol's 2nd Birthday party! Her actual birthday is on Thursday, but because it is Easter next weekend (and Rangers Opening Day, of course) we decided to have it this past Saturday. We had a real informal affair at the Benbrook Park. When I pulled up I couldn't believe how many people were there....there was a community Easter egg hunt and bounce houses that morning! But luckily the egg hunt had just finished as we were setting up in one of the pavilions and they kept the bounce houses going for a while, so we got to enjoy those at no cost! (All planned, of course!) Here are some pictures from the fun day!!!
Carol and her cousin Zac
Just chilling, eating some applesauce with Granddad.
Um granddad, your cheetos look really good!
Emma and her good friend Madi
Evelyn and Senna Curlee
About the only "homeade" part of the party! Strawberry cupcakes with frosting and Elmo toppers. After I iced the cupcakes, Emma put on the confetti and Elmos!
The candle only stayed lit for a second because of the wind!
...but we still pretended to blow it out!
One of Carol's best friends, Brock, attacks the cupcake! We went to high school with Brock's parents and now Carol and Brock play together at Miss Angie's house during the day!
Don't even think about taking my cupcake!!
....or touch Brock's cupcake!! (Actually, this was his "cheese" face!)
Opening presents!
BOOTS!
Playing on the playground!
Drew Coleman
Playing on the bounce houses!
Getting bread to feed the ducks at the duck pond. Last time we were at this park, Carol fell into the pond! Luckily, she stayed dry this time!!
Ethan Bah
Tuckered out at the end of the day!
Mom, do you see me???
Blowing bubbles!!!
I can't figure out how to rotate this one! (Or I'm too tired at this point!)
Beautiful big sister!
Nothing like getting a tired hug from a sweet little girl!
As a little comparison, here's Emma at her 2nd birthday, complete with Elmo cupcakes!
