Carol Joy is Nine Months Old!!

Where did the time go??? You are 3/4 of a year!

...you still have your dark blue eyes, and your hair is finally starting to "puff" out a little bit.
... you weigh 19 pounds (50th percentile), are 27 inches long (50%), and have a head circumference of 47 cm (over 99%....just like your sister!)...considering your sister didn't weigh that much until over a year old, you are doing good!
... you got your first tooth on Christmas Day and now have two teeth-- both on the bottom middle.
...you started pulling up on Christmas Eve and now would much rather be standing than sitting. You even have stood on your own for a few seconds! You are cruising, and ready to run after your big sister. I definitely think you will be an early walker. You also can easily get into a sitting position from laying down.
.... you sleep about 10-11 hours at night, with one feeding in there around hour 7-8. When we come to get you out of your crib, you are usually standing up at the railing, waiting for us to appear, and then you are so happy to see us that you bounce up and down really fast!
... you love to eat your solids (except bananas....even when it is hidden in a mixture of fruits you can taste it and show your displeasure!). You are starting to want to feed yourself almost exclusively. Your first "real' meal was a turkey hot dog, mashed potatoes, green beans and some crescent rolls. You also love vienna sausages, teddy grahams, crackers, and peas.
....although you didn't quite understand what all the fuss was about, you had fun playing with the tissue paper during the present opening. You got a new toy that you can pull up and stand next to, as well as a new diaper bag (you were very excited about that present....ok maybe mommy was just a little more). Your sister picked out a soft pink bunny for her present to you.
...you LOVE your big sister. Whenever she comes into your view you immediately smile and start trying to get to her. For the most part, she LOVES being around you, too. Sometimes though you get in her way or cry too much in the car. :)
...But really, you cry very little. Only when you are hungry...and as soon as you see a bottle you start lunging for it and put it into your mouth. You can even hold the bottle up or the sippy cup up in order to drink from it, although your arms get tired after a while so we have to help you.
...you smile all the time---you completely fulfill your middle name! You love to clap, play in the bathtub, and are very ticklish on your neck and your upper back.
