Emma Stories!

I know I write a lot about Carol, but of course, I have many stories about Miss Emma Rose Montgomery, too!

- We are snuggling in bed one morning and Emma is telling me about her dreams. (I never know how many of these "dreams" are real....I have a feeling many are made up on the spot. ;)  ) But she tells me, "Mommy I had FIVE good dreams last night and THREE bad dreams." I said "Well, that's a lot of dreams!" And Emma replies "Yep, that's EIGHT dreams."   The math teacher in me was very happy to say the least!

- We have a "candy bag" in the pantry. It usually holds some old Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, or Easter Candy. :)  Emma is a sweet-a-holic. So I look for it one night in order to fill up her Easter Eggs for her class party with the special Easter candy I had just bought. But, the bag is missing!!! Where do I find it? In her "secret" hiding place, underneath Carol's crib. The entrance to her hiding space was ingeniously hidden by our big Clifford the Big Red Dog and our big stuffed Horse. I think she had gotten it down during one "rest time" where Carol was asleep and I was either laying down or taking a shower and she was supposed to be lying on the couch watching a movie. Little sneaker.

- As I was taking a shower today, she was sitting on the bathroom counter, and had turned on the water and pulled up the stopper. She was just playing with the water, not making a mess. As I am getting ready, I notice that she has put her feet in, too. I thought, no big deal. Then she gets the towel and starts drying off her feet. I ask her what she was doing and she replied, "Washing my feet, like Jesus did".
